Brasstacks Books

Our goal at Brass Tacks Books is to provide you with books about the worlds of entrepreneurship, business, direct investing, and wealth creation.  Not only that, we want to try to give you information in an unfiltered way – raw, succinct, direct, and actionable.  Time is precious, and we don’t want to fill the pages of our books with fluff or filler just to make it look like you’re getting more. There will likely be stories to emphasize particular points and to make them more real, and this is part of any real- world learning.

Our goal is to help you succeed, to put you on a path to success, financial freedom, abundance, and prosperity.  With the rare exceptions of strokes of good luck, obtaining these things generally involves an ugly four-letter word: work.  If you’re looking for someone to blow smoke and sunshine up your tailpipe, or fill you full of false dreams of fancy cars, yachts, and lifestyles of the rich and arrogant, or for someone to give you a magic easy button, you’ve come to the wrong place.

That’s not to say that achieving one’s dreams has to involve decades of toil and grind, either.  Working smart is highly preferably to working hard.  And making the most valuable use of one’s most limited resource, time, is the primary objective.

That said, we believe that entrepreneurship and the activities that stem from it are one of the world’s most prominent driving forces for good.  Free markets and the free enterprise system, under proper governance, inspire innovation, create jobs, spur new technologies and make the world a better place for all.

The global economy is not a zero-sum game, where there are only winners and losers and only a limited pie to be fought and wrestled over.  Instead, it is one of ever-increasing abundance, where everyone can benefit and have better lives, if we take care of each other and of the planet on which we live.

When you invest in real estate, you put tradespeople to work, you feed the economy, you provide comfortable places for people to live, work, recreate, and shop.  You improve neighborhoods, cities, states, and countries.  When you start a business or invest in one, you create jobs, support families, and you foster creativity, innovation, and technology.  In short, you make the world a better place.  In the process, you create a better life for yourself and your family, and once you gain true financial freedom, perhaps you can put your excess resources to good use to extend your legacy.

We’re also on the lookout for talented writers who can add to the titles under the Brass Tacks brand.  If you have a good idea and subject matter expertise in a field that lends itself well to what we’re all about, feel free to reach out to us to discuss.
